Here it comes... another Mother's Day. Which for some is a dreamy day when you are pampered by your super model husband and served on command by your angelic children. It's a day when you lazily slumber in a hammock all day eating strawberry shortcake piled high with whipped cream. What? That's not your typical Mother's Day? So you don't have a super model husband? Or any husband? No kids? You're lactose intolerant? Yes, this is a day that should be celebrated. After all, if we aren't mothers, we all had a mother. But for some reason this can become a day full of doubt, feelings of inadequacy, and dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, enduring this beautiful day in May can feel like a chore. It's time to turn this chore into a choice...by choosing to look and feel beautiful, armed with genuine confidence and love for others, and resistant to any "not good enough" mental chatter. Since the way you dress affects the way you think, feel and act, we can control how beautiful we feel on Mother's Day. Here are 5 things that work for me.
When I choose to wear one or all of the above, I begin feeling much more confident. Confident enough to look negativity squarely in the eye and say "Hit me with you're best shot! You're not getting through to me, because I feel gorgeous today!" What helps YOU feel beautiful on Mother's Day? Here's what a few of my friends had to say....
How about YOU? What helps you to feel beautiful when negative self-chatter comes closing in? (Comment below.) Looking for some expert beauty prep?
